Brain Gym® Instructor Pathway

(Teaching Brain Gym® courses professionally)

This pathway is for those who wish to teach Brain Gym® courses and contribute to professional training and development.

The Curriculum Levels

Brain Gym® International courses are categrorized on one of five levels: Please check for specific prerequisites prior to enrolling at each level.

  • 100 Level: Introductory courses, which are generally open to all
  • 200 Level: Intended to deepen and build on the content learned in Brain Gym® 101, the prerequisite for all 200 level courses
  • 300 Level: Develop skills for working with others
  • 400 Level: Licensure and professional development courses for instructors.
  • 500 Level: Further teacher-training courses that prepare licensed instructors to teach other courses in the Brain Gym® curriculum. An up-to-date Brain Gym® sublicense is required for enrollment at this level.

Brain Gym® 101 – Balance for Daily Life 24 hours

Step 1: Brain Gym® 101 – Balance for Daily Life 24 hours

  • Introduction to Brain Gym® Educational Kinesiology

Step 2: BG101 Review

Step 3: BG201 – Optimal Brain Organisation 16 hours

  • Brain organisation principles
  • Observation and integration skills
  • Preparing learners for optimal functioning

Step 4: BG301 – Edu-K In-Depth: Seven Dimensions of Intelligence 32 hours

  • Deeper Educational Kinesiology principles
  • Multiple dimensions of intelligence
  • Advanced application of movement in learning

Step 5: BG401 – Brain Gym® Teacher Practicum 32 hours

  • Teaching practice
  • Course facilitation under supervision
  • Professional standards for Brain Gym® instruction

Step 6: Edu-K Electives Minimum 16 Hours
Electives choices are below (but not limited to):

  1. Visioncircle – Visual skills and learning integration
  2. BG170 – Brain Gym 170 for Special Needs
  3. Double Doodle Play – Bilateral integration through drawing and movement

Step 7: Additional Requirement: Anatomy / Kinesiology Minimum 14–16 hours, e.g.

* Touch for Health® Level 1 – Introductory kinesiology course focusing on testing and correcting 14 primary muscles and their corresponding meridians.
* Touch for Health® Level 2 – Builds on foundational skills by introducing 14 additional muscle tests (totaling 28), the Chinese Law of Five Elements for balancing, and “one-point” meridian correction techniques.

Outcome of the Instructor Pathway

  • Recognised as a Brain Gym® Instructor
  • Authorised to teach Brain gym @101 certificate course
  • Eligible to mentor movement facilitators and support professional development
GOVERNANCE STATEMENT

All Brain Gym® pathways in Malaysia operate under the governance of the Malaysia Brain Gym Association (MBGA) and follow international Brain Gym® Educational Kinesiology standards. Courses are conducted by certified movement facilitators and Brain Gym® instructors. Course availability may vary by year.
